THOSE DARE DEVIL HASHERS SPOT
GIANT CRABS OFF JUMBA RUINS !

.

The sighting a shoal of Zebra fish and
giant crabs did wonders to the moods

Coastweek - - HASH Run No. 101 progressed on Coral Teeth: Once again the enchanting terrain off Mtwapa hosted the new centurion run for a full dozen hashers.

Starting in the muddy and filthy lanes of the village off the town's northernmost end, the trail laid by Rolf and Margaret, quickly crossed the road as if scenting the sea breeze.

After puffing up and down the shady eastern side, the trail brought the Pack to the serene Jumba Ruins, from where it descended on to the sands and followed the ebbing tide and the caves under the overhanging coral promontory.

The waters had yet not receded fully and most of the 'run' back towards the Mtwapa Creek entrance was treacherous, over jagged coral and the still teeming sea creatures, topped up by the algae strewn water holes that caught the feet of the unwary.

No one was spared a dip.

The sighting a shoal of Zebra fish and giant crabs did wonders to the moods.

But we made it, with the dusk gathering and the moon showing the way back to the home hold, another 2 kms. away back north, through the Mtwapa township.

The 'down-downs' were appropriately dispensed and yet another mad run was celebrated.

Next Run: Saturday 30 October. Meet at the Mamba Village.

The Crocodile has promised to sleep till the Hashers get away.
