MOMBASA HASH IN QUEST
FOR RARE BAKED BEANS

.

.

... BECAUSE Mars was supposed to come
uncomfortably close to planet Earth !

Coastweek - - Last Saturdays SWANK Hash run was announced as the 'Full Mars Run', because, according to the GM, Mars was supposed to come uncomfortably close to planet Earth.

The GM had to explain that he, amongst millions of others, had been the victim of a hoax email and, in fact, the close encounter had taken place two years earlier.

No matter, we had another reason to celebrate, in the form of Mombasa Show, so the trail was set by Kokila in the vicinity of the showground and ended up inside the place at the Gecko Village mega disco.

The trail was easy enough to follow, even though the hare was very sparing with the marks.

Perhaps she was planning to cook chapatis and was con-serving the unga for that purpose.

We emerged on to the beach near Noon's for a wet hold, but they were not serving, so it was back into old Nyali and on to the show.

Once inside the show a wet hold was immediately found at Palm International where mnazi down downs were administered for the various sins committed along the way.

These included, Sylvia - short cutting on a grand scale; Cockpit - inefficient horn blowing; Monty - announcing that there was a lot of sand - at the beach !

The GM said he knew of a good deal on baked beans at the show.

This invoked a search for the stand in question and a shopping frenzy, when the entire stock of Yemeni baked beans was scooped.

Please be assured that the Hash members will be jet powered all week!

This is good preparation for next weeks run.

Another special one, is at KWETU, Mtwapa.

They are holding an environmental challenge.

Including a run, a quiz and raft building.

Being that you only need half a mind to Hash, our team will be challenged, indeed.

It's an early start, meet at Moorings, 1.00 p.m. Saturday 3rd September.
