HASH PACK ENJOY ANOTHER RUN
IN THE BAMBURI NATURE TRAIL

.sore bottoms but overall a great
success for the first Bike Hash
.

Coastweek - - Once again, the pack assembled at Bamburi Nature Trails, for another run/ jog/ power walk through the cool forest.

I use the word, assemble, loosely because the Hashers turned up at different times and started the trail in semi-autonomous groups.

They managed to link up somehow, either through shortcutting or by getting lost and emerging from the bush onto a main trail, frightening their friends, who are fearing that a jealous bull eland is going to have a word with them.

Some were not seen during the whole run but were enthusiastically greeted at the lakeside watering hole.

SWANK HHH has now also moved into Bike Hashing.

The "rules" are the same.

The hares lay a trail of powder marks, complete with checks and false trails.

The first "trial run" was held last week (Oct 15th).

It started from HQ Mtwapa and led through the mustuni all the way up to Sun n' Sand, then crossed the main road at Kanamai before winding back through the hinterland  to Mtwapa, 28 km in all.

There were some sore bottoms but it was a great success.

This will probably become a monthly event, watch this space.

Next weeks Kawaida run No. 147 will be at Nguu Tatu. Meet at the water tanks, Husseini Dairy - 4.00 p.m. It should be a beaut.
