VIRGIN HARE AHMED - A JOB WELL
DONE

'mangamangaing' in Mombasa
City
Coastweek - -
Once in a while, instead of mangamangaing in the mustuni,
SWANK HHH venture into Mombasa Town....sorry...City.
This was what happened last Saturday, when a depleted pack
assembled at Graphic Touch in Kenyatta Avenue.
They were joined by Kabul, a recent immigrant from Kampala
HHH. What better way to aquaint yourself with a strange new city
than by getting yourself lost with a bunch of half minds ?
Especially when the trail has been laid by a virgin hare. So,
off we trundled through Majengo.
The tilapia vendors were much amused by the shouts of
"Are You ?", "Keep
Checking Deeper, Jinga Moto Wewe!", all accompanied by the honking
of a sick Hash Horn that seemed to have succumbed to laryngitis
because of the recent rains.
'On' and 'On' the FRBs forged, startling shikamoo ladies who
were otherwise enjoying their Sunday afternoon, leaving the
following walkers and pregnants to explain their deranged
behaviour.
The trail entered Mvita and crossed over the ancient railway
bridge into the industrial area.
The GM was still having trouble with his horn, the green
bulbous part being completely useless.
An African solution was required so he enlisted the help of a
roadside karanga mama who mended his weapon with the help of a pair
of spoons ...
Ganjoni and Mbaraki were the next places to be disturbed and
we ended up at the idyllic Mombasa Yacht Club, where the circle was
held.
What did we think of the trail ? "Not enough dog poo!" "Not
enough tarmac!" "Not enough sewage".
Apart from that the Virgin Hare Ahmed was congratulated for a
job well done.
Next week SWANK HHH returns to the peace of the bush:
