WELL TRODDEN TERRITORIES
AT
BAMBURI NATURE TRAIL
one fine butter smooth
run
Coastweek -
- The Hash last
week was one fine butter smooth run; mainly because the
forest floor was sloshed with the recent
rains.
It was tricky
too and deliciously slippery, but nevertheless enjoyable
as the hassle of searching trail marks was for once
overlooked.
The loyal hash
bunch turned up at the prompt time of 4:00 p.m. sharp
and set off to some well trodden and other unknown
territories at the Nature Trail.
No wild life
greeted the busy bee Harrietts but true to the spirit of
straying, if a chance was offered, the side lanes
leading to the farm were explored
extensively.
Not for any
socio-scientific reasons mind you, but to get some
insight into the secrets of healthy salad
plants.
Well, the
natural Hash guide who normally knows nothing about
Nature was busy with the Agricultural Show on the other
side of the Hash world apparently trying to impart Hash
Culture as a new farming activity to the older
generation.
The group gave
up the great challenge of pursuing salad plants for
counting wriggling worms instead in absence of this
great personality.
By the time
the stamina levels were used up to their maximum, the
welcome Bandas were most appreciated.
A party was on
for someone's birthday and the Hash group was welcomed
with open arms and open bottles of a sweeter softer
variety of drinks.
Next run is
On-On at Nguu Tatu on Saturday 9 September with
Eric "Mouth" as Hare. Meet at Turkey Bayse 4:00 p.m.
sharp.
