HASHERS ENJOY "JOGOO'S"
FAREWELL KIEMBENI JAUNT

.

trail WAS slippery and challenging

Coastweek - - An enthusiastic pack gathered at Turkey Baise, intrigued by the promise of a "special" run by the hare, Jogoo.

Indeed it was, as Joggo, aided by Murunga, had laid a trail of high quality that wound through the new estates on the Utange road (which we agreed, bear similarity to Zimmerman, whilst Mtwapa is becoming like a second Huruma), and then turned onto the open country towards Ungu Tatu, before leading back to Turkey Baise.

The trail featured plenty of 'shaggy' (matope), making the trail slippery and challenging, which is a welcome feature in a Hash trail, as it slows down any aspiring and misguided athletes.

There were also a couple of jua kali bridges which were well and truly tested by the sima chewers in the pack.

The run was all the more special because it was Jogoo's last run before he is transferred to the arctic climes of Eldoret.

He will be missed, but expect a Hash group to emerge in the Rift.

It won't do much to increase Kenya's bag of gold medals in Athens, but some fun will be had.

.

The circle marked Jogoo's departure, and all the usual suspects received disciplinary measures for their various sins.

'ON', 'ON' to the next run: - Saturday, 1st May.

Venue: -  Meet at Gecko Village  - 3.30 p.m.
