TRAIL LED RIGHT BEHIND THE BOMBOLULU
VILLAGE

Hare Eric Murunga
AND harriet Marianne
Coastweek - - The 73rd Hash run began on a false trail. From Gecko, the
pack was literally escorted to the starting point, a Watering
Hole-oops- right before the run.
No kidding, that IS the name.
Well, sanity prevailed and the pack set out looking for the
scanty trail marks that kept playing hide and seek.
Hare Eric Murunga with harriet Marianne had laid such a good
web that they themselves missed marks !
And the pack weaved on highs and down dales.
At one point the trail seemed to set off in 10 different
possibilities and the road back home was the most tempting with only
the cows to guide the pack.
They even looked for the lost trail up the mango trees that
were abound, only to come off with pickler mangoes, gratefully taken
up by this scribe.
The trail led right behind the Bombolulu village and skirted
the rear quarters of the cement factory all the way in Bamburi but
not before hitting another stumbler with umpteen check backs that
bashed the hashers.
But undeterred they rolled on and on.
A discreet look at the
compass that was the Hare's eyes set everyone back in the
homing direction of the watering hole but not before sighting the
giraffe at the Nature Trail.
Hope the management does not send us a back dated invoice for
this back door peeping.
In absence of the Grand Master and the grand old Sage of
HASH, and so technically the absence of discipline, the rituals were
more hilarious than usual.
The 'down downs' were most appropriately given to almost
everyone for the overt and covert sins with correct and improvised
lyrics before the pack dispersed to return to
civilization.
