Run No. 86 – July 24th – Report
Last weeks Hash was run once again in the dusty Mtwapa . Rolf "Quicky". The Hare never fails to surprise by well laid trails and imagination.
This time round he led the pack on a square "ROUND" in the north east, animatedly from Animo. Once on the trail, everyone quickly got into the pace, ably led by young energetic front runners, some virgins and some returnees. The trail was cleverly misleading, and brought everyone to the edges of an orchard, full of dropping mangoes and oranges, fenced with barbed wires. The Hare stood, like a gargoyle, rolling his head and eyes. Much more was rolling in the minds of the pack, and not exactly complimentary. Eventually, the route, between the wires was found by instinct, between wires, parallel to the fence in horizontal stance!!!!
Many of us remembered the need to keep more fit. After two holds, one dry and one wet, with traditional liquid refreshment, the pack reached Home base. Yours truly was punished for "NOT" picking any foliage as is the routine on way. A refreshingly exhausting run.
By the way, if two negatives make a positive, what does a positively negative statement make???
NEXT RUN: FROM GECKO VILLAGE, next to Nyali Nakumatt. 3:30 sharp.
